The room was clean , staff was friendly , just not enough towels for a room that sleeps 4.. we enjoyed the pool. And bojangles was next door.for the price we paid they could of offered coffee or have a pot in the room..
It was a last minute, semi emergency stay. It wasn't an extravagant stay but the staff member who assisted us was exemplary! Her name was B!
This hotel isn't within walking distance to the beach near the boardwalk, but it's about a 20-minute drive with traffic. The first room we got wasn't the cleanest, but the front desk was very flexible and quickly moved us to a more fitting and acceptable room. Checking in was simple, the pool was fun, and I recommend this hotel if you're driving. The price is affordable.
This rating is for the night staff. the white girl and guy (sorry for being so informal) have always been very nice, understanding, respectful and proffesional everytime i visit. PS. I never experienced any bugs or bed bugs. But I also use my own sheets and sprinkle eucalyptus oil on them. When I travel keeps everything away and smells nice

I was preparing myself to be underwhelmed because I'm accustomed to staying at higher starred hotels. It was a long day last minute bookings in travel heavy locations never work... until now. If you read reviews (I tend not to, especially when you really have no choice), it's all bad, just bad. Only the divine favor of God knows what happened here. My experience from check-in to check out was awesome! Chris Canavan was awesome (please pay him higher than the competition, or you will lose him) from greeting to room assignment, completely professional. Our room was pleasant and clean, with no bugs, everything worked as it should and I slept well . My wife was happy the iron work in the morning to get our clothes ready. We had our own but the room was equipped with all the dispensers full for use. No complaints, but the location, VA Beach hotels were sold out at ones that I tend to stay. This jewel in the rough I do not mind staying again, as long as rest of team members have the professional skills as Chris. Oh even the house keeper was pleasant and kind, returned my hat so I paid for her lunch(tip).
This hotel is way to expensive, I could have stayed at Hilton for just as much with more pluses. Not 1 drink or snack machine works on property which is unbelievable. Chris should be manager of this location. He was amazing during check out. But This property location is overpriced an you have to actually leave property for a soda! Please do better! Treat your reward members better too! Chris is the only reason I didn't give 2 stars and the housekeepers work EXTREMELY HARD TOO! THE MANAGER NEEDS TO DO BETTER ON SITE FIX MACHINES EQUALS MORE $$$$$
